Feeding Guide
Kittens: after weaning (approximately 5 weeks) the daily feed rate is 1/2 measuring cup (60 g) per 1 kg of body weight; from 20 weeks of age (approximately 5 months) the daily feed rate is 1/4 measuring cup (30 g) per 1 kg of body weight. From 52 weeks of age - switch to an adult cat diet. Pregnancy: increase the daily feed rate by 25%. During lactation: provide free access to food.
Each cat is a unique individual, so feeding requirements will vary depending on breed, activity level, age, and environment.
That’s why we recommend using this chart as a guide and constantly checking your cat’s weight to adjust the diet as needed. It takes time for your cat’s digestive system to adjust to ACANA’s nutrients. Over 5-7 days, gradually mix in ACANA, increasing the amount each day, until your cat is eating 100% ACANA by day 7.
